I can't be the only person in this situation. Once they've lost confidence in Signal, the likelihood that they will ever switch back seems low.
I don't know how much this matters to you, but this bug is making many of the people in my contact list who i have painstakingly converted to signal over years bail and start using unencrypted SMS via their phone's native app.
